AACE has been operating with the generous support of our voluntary administration team, a small group of dedicated coaches & educators themselves. The team works together to administer outreach, educational offerings and is formalizing our governance structure. 

CO- ADMINISTRATORS

  • A multiple award winning actor/ writer/ singer who is at home in Film and TV, Theatre and the Concert stage. As a long serving elected leader and Child Advocate, Tova helped negotiate the rules defining children’s protections in film and tv. Tova served as ACTRA Toronto President and Past President from 2017- 2025, serves as Treasurer of ACTRA National, Co-Founder of AACE, Chair of The EIC and is a recipient of the Cliff Pilkey Labour Activist Award, The 2025 King Charles lll Coronation Medal and the Cayle Chernin 2025 Woman of the year.

  • Jennifer Wigmore is a multidisciplinary artist in acting, writing, and visual art. She has had a long and impressive career in the entertainment industry in multiple media. She has performed in theatres across Canada and appears in numerous television series and films She has taught acting and visual art at multiple institutions. Jennifer is a passionate and tireless advocate for artists. She co-founded AACE, which is helping to bring standards and community to acting education and has worked with many other industry organizations including; Got Your Back, NSIP - the National Society of Intimacy Professionals and both Canadian performers unions, Canadian Actors Equity and ACTRA.

ADMIN TEAM

  • Michael Gordin Shore has been acting since childhood and holds theatre degrees from John Abbott College and Simon Fraser University. A working Film/TV/Voice/Theatre actor with over 55 bookings since 2016, he’s been recognized as “One of Canada’s Top Audition Coaches” and “One of Canada’s Most Appreciated Acting Teachers.” A long time member of AACE, he is committed to ensuring safe and healthy training and coaching for all. In addition to his administrative role, he contributes to several AACE committees, including Minors, Vetting, Education, Governance, and the Conference.

  • Alan Powell has been a member of AACE and has been supporting the association in an administrative capacity since 2022. His passion for building community has led to the creation of the Actor Wellbeing Facilitators Collective (AWFC) an international community of professional practitioners working together to advance actor wellbeing in training, production and lifestyle. Alan also initiated, co-produced and co-curated the Actor Wellbeing Webinar series for the Performing Arts Medicine Association (PAMA) in the USA.  In 2025 he initiated and was one of the conveners for the S Word online symposium on Actor Wellbeing hosted by the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London England. Alan established AACE UK along with his colleague Pat O’Toole.
