Susana is a multilingual actor, acting teacher and PhD researcher at Royal Holloway University of London, where she is completing a practice-based PhD adapting Stanislavsky's System through a feminist lens. Her research investigates how female actors can use Stanislavsky's methodology to challenge misogyny in canonical texts and prioritise emotional wellbeing when embodying oppressed roles. As a Spanish migrant practitioner, her devised work — including Places, a one-woman show exploring migration, identity and loss — sits at the intersection of lived experience and political theatre. As Assistant Director and Translator on The Mouth of the Gods (Border Crossings/Hoxton Hall), she supported rehearsals and contributed to intercultural storytelling. Across her practice, Susana is committed to intersectional feminism and a trauma-informed, care-centred rehearsal approach.
